The Cornell Club-New York is the focal point for Cornell Alumni not only in New York City, but throughout the world. While over 80% of our Members are Cornell Alumni, full-time Faculty and Staff of Cornell, Cornell students (at least 21 years of age), graduates of our affiliated schools (Brown, Colgate, Duke, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stanford, Tulane, and Wake Forest), family members of Cornellians, and business associates of Members are most welcome to apply for membership. The Club has approximately 6,000 House Members.

Membership Rates and Application Process

Membership rates for House Members are based on the applicant’s place of employment and residence, as well as undergraduate graduation year. New Members pay an initiation fee, which is equal to 100% of the first year’s dues (in addition to dues); it is a one-time, non-refundable fee. Where applicable, the Reinstatement Fee is 50% of the first year’s dues (in addition to dues) in lieu of the initiation fee.

Spouse/Domestic Partner Membership Privileges

Allows unlimited signing and use of Club facilities for $160 annually.

Club Billing Information

  • Membership Dues are payable either quarterly or annually, based on the Club’s fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). The Club’s quarters begin on: July 1, October 1, January 1 and April 1.
  • Club usage charges are payable monthly.
  • All Dues, Club charges and the Initiation Fee (or Reinstatement Fee) are subject to New York sales tax, currently 8.875%.

Membership to The Cornell Club-New York is continuous.  Should you wish to close your account, please note that you are responsible for all dues and charges through the current quarter.  All resignations must be in writing and delivered to The Club in person, via fax, or mail with the Member’s signature.  Should you wish to rejoin The Club, there will be a reinstatement charge.
