Join The Club for a Lower Manhattan and Jewish Lower East Side walk, pointing out sites associated with Christmas history and Jewish life. Stops include the Currier and Ives shop (as used in the song Sleigh Ride),the origin of the New Years Ball Drop, the birthplace of Cardinal Hayes, where Charles Dickens got the notion of the ghosts for A Christmas Carol, sites used in Miracle on 34th Street, the first Sephardic Jewish Cemetery in NYC; the Eldridge St Synagogue, the Jarmalofsky Bank, Orchard Street, and the Jewish Daily Forward Building.

11:00am tour.  $25 per person. Advance reservations required by Thursday, November 29th, at which time they are considered final sale. The group will meet at the statue of Ben Franklin at the corner of Spruce St and Park Row in Lower Manhattan. The statue is in front of Pace University and to the right of the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge. Subway: 4,5,6 to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall.
