Stroll through the nooks, crannies, winding side streets of Greenwich Village, as we explore the cultural, literary and presidential history of the Village – from wealthy Victorian neighborhood to 20th century bohemian center—as well as its personalities, from Washington to Bob Dylan. Historical stops include New York's narrowest house, the homes of Mark Twain, Eleanor Roosevelt and Edith Wharton, The Washington Square Arch, Minetta Lane, Patchin Place, the Jefferson Courthouse Library, Grove Court, the site of the first presidential wedding, the Friends apartment building, and film locations from Sex and the City, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and When Harry Met Sally. Along the way, a sampling of desserts, from Venchi chocolate and cupcakes to gelato and to Italian cannoli. Cost for food tasting portion is additional and out of pocket on the day of the tour. Stops will be made at food establishments, but you only pay for the food you wish to buy, if anything. Most food stops are CASH ONLY establishments, so please bring cash. Also note that each establishment may come into contact with peanut and nut oils, so please keep in mind when making your food orders. Come prepared with an appetite for history and things sweet.

The group meets in front of St Luke in the Fields Church at the corner of Hudson St and Grove Street. Subway: 1 train to Christopher St.
