Rosé wines are delicious all year round, but there's no denying that refreshing pink wines are especially delightful when the temperature rises. Yet, there's more to rosé than its eye-catching hue and easy-breezy reputation. Join us for a guided tasting of top-tier pink wines from different regions and learn what it takes to make a premium rosé.
The evening will kick off with a reception featuring sparkling rosé from Gloria Ferrer in Sonoma, California. We'll then enjoy a guided tasting of four rosé wines from Château La Gordonne (Provence, France), Pasqua Wines (Veneto, Italy), Donnafugata (Sicily, Italy), and Bibich (Plastovo, Croatia).
The tasting will be led by wine writer and presenter Wanda Mann, creator of Wine With Wanda. Wanda is the East Coast Editor for The SOMM Journal and her writing has also been featured in Food & Wine, NAPA Magazine, and other publications. Wanda has been a presenter at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, the Women in Wine Leadership Symposium, the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, and the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival. Wanda is the immediate past president of Les Dames d'Escoffier New York, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to women pursuing careers in food, wine & spirits, and hospitality. She also serves on the board of the Society of Wine Educators.
6:00pm reception, 6:30pm tasting. $55 per person plus tax and service. Advance registration required by Monday, June 3rd at which point all reservations are final.
