Flushing Meadows Corona Park is the site of both historic World's Fairs in NYC, and approximately 40 remnants of the 1939 and 1964 Fairs remain in the park. Join Alliance docent Linda Fisher for her extraordinary virtual "walk" through the fairgrounds, with stops at some of the World's Fair icons, such as the Unisphere and New York State Pavilion, repurposed buildings including what is now the Queens Theatre and the Queens Museum, as well as sculptures, monuments, and natural areas (both lakes in the park were actually created for the 1939 World's Fair). From the story behind Belgian Waffles to a look inside some of the most popular attractions, we hope you'll enjoy the tour and perhaps share your own memories if you or your parents were there.

Members can donate to The Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park at www.allianceforfmcp.org.

6:00pm EST webinar, gratis. Advance registration required. Registrants will receive the link to view the tour in the confirmation email.
