A 90-minute stroll, discovery tour, and a free book, too!

Although the Meatpacking District is well-known for its trendy restaurants and avant-garde art, it was New York's meatpacking hub for over a century. Long before that, it was home to a string of markets of a different kind: among them: a Lenape trading post, a small scale manufacturing hub, and the Gansevoort Farmers Market, one of NYC's busiest produce markets.

Come join us on a 90-minute evening stroll as we unpack the 400-year history of the Meatpacking District and take in the ambience of one of the oldest and now landmarked parts of New York.

Afterwards, drop in to a local eatery and enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson while taking in the scene in one of NYC's liveliest and fashionable neighborhoods. Still up for more? Stroll the Highline, and take in the view from Little Island.
