Join us on a walking tour exploring sites associated with the history of this neighborhood -- once home to Victorian wealth, immigrants and bohemians. Take a journey through this area's nooks and crannies, winding roads and hideaways, with a discussion of the noted literary, artistic and political figures associated with them from George Washington to Bob Dylan. We'll stroll by such locations as Washington Square Park and Mews, Grove Court, the Jefferson Courthouse, Patchin Place, and the homes of writers Mark Twain, EE Cummings, Edna St. Vincent Millay, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and artist Edward Hopper, the site of the first presidential wedding, the Friends apartment building, and film locations from Sex and the City, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and When Harry Met Sally.

2:00pm tour. $30 per person. Advance reservations required by Thursday, September 15th at which time they are considered final sale. Participants should be fully vaccinated and mask wearing is encouraged.
