In August 2017, in Charlottesville, Virginia, our nation saw the type of event that can change the social narrative of a country. As Terry McAuliffe lays out in his new book, Beyond Charlottesville: Taking a Stand Against White Nationalism the tragic events that resulted in the deaths of three people forced America to examine the rise of neo-Nazis and white supremacists and the roots of hatred.

Beyond Charlottesville takes a deep look at those involved in the calamitous weekend. Gov. McAuliffe levels a very critical eye at the history of racism in Virginia, a state he dearly loves. Most importantly, he examines what is needed to correct the racial divide and the rise of nationalism, not only in his state but across the country.

Terry McAuliffe served as Governor of Virginia from 2014 to 2018 and as Chair of the National Governors Association from 2016 to 2017. A former Chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2001 to 2005, McAuliffe was also co-chairman of President Bill Clinton's 1996 reelection campaign and chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign.

6:00 cash bar reception, 6:30pm interview. $29 per person, includes a copy of "Beyond Charlottesville: Taking a Stand Against White Nationalism". Advance reservations required by Monday, July 22nd, at which time they are considered final sale.
