The recent the backlash to globalization such as USA-China trade disputes and Brexit, has forced multinationals to reconsider their global strategies. In this masterclass, Prof Paul Ryan will describe the waves of globalization leading up to the current backlash and the implications and realities for multinational business in this new global business environment.

Professor Paul Ryan lectures in International Strategy on the MBA programme at Trinity Business School. He completed his PhD at University of Cambridge, Judge Institute of Management Studies. He researches and lectures on multinational subsidiary strategy, technological clusters and international entrepreneurship. His research has been published in a number of leading international business journals such as International Business Review, International Marketing Review and World Economy amongst others.
