Shōwa Dinner

Shō means "shining" or "bright" and wa means "peace."

Our April Pop-Up Tasting Menu offers a Japanese Steakhouse menu featuring Akaushi beef. Each course will feature prime ingredients with the authentic flavors of Japan, with Akaushi beef being the star of the night. Joining us at the dinner, will be Lee Selig, President of Main Street Meats, and Jordan Beeman, President of Heartbrand Beef.

Founded by fifth-generation Texas cattle ranchers Ronald and Jordan Beeman, HeartBrand Beef, located in Harwood, Texas is a brand known for producing and marketing a specific type of beef known as Akaushi beef.  Jordan Beeman, President of HeartBrand Beef, will be joining us for our Showa dinner to introduce our members to Akaushi Beef.

Akaushi is a Japanese cattle breed, a specific type of the more widely recognized Wagyu cattle. The cattle are originally from Japan, and their meat is highly prized for its marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor.  All HeartBrand Certified Akaushi Beef is equivalent to USDA Prime grade and undergoes rigorous quality guidelines and certified product testing.

HeartBrand Beef has been instrumental in introducing Akaushi cattle to the American market. The company has a herd of Akaushi cattle and is focused on breeding, raising, and selling beef products from these animals.
We will also be joined by Lee Seelig, third generation owner of Main Street Meats.
Main Street Meats is a wholesale meat distributor located in Farmingdale, NY that has supplied The Club with high quality meats for over 10 years. Main Street Meats is the Northeast's largest distributor of Akaushi Wagyu beef and has worked with our culinary team to carefully craft a dinner menu that showcases the unique characteristics of Akaushi Wagyu beef.
