As high performers, you know what it takes to succeed. In your day to day, it's easy for your focus to fall on what you need to do – How do I get through my task list? Who do I need to influence? How can I meet my performance metrics?

Although strategies and tactics are important, their effectiveness is driven by your mindset. Your mindset can either propel you to success or hold you back despite your best efforts.

In this interactive session, Selling Your Expertise author Robert Chen will help you spot, shift, and sustain the right mindset to boost your chances of success. You'll learn practical ways to push past internal obstacles and connect more effectively with your internal and external stakeholders.

Written to help professionals get recognized for their value, Selling Your Expertise: The Mindset, Strategies, and Tactics of Successful Rainmakers (Wiley, April 2022) offers experts, advisors, and other knowledge-based professionals a clear roadmap to build a book of business and cultivate long-term client relationships.

Robert Chen '02 is a partner at Exec|Comm, a global business development and communication skills training company. He helps Fortune 100 business leaders and their teams communicate, lead, and sell more effectively. He was recognized in 2021 with the Top 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business Award.
