Young Alumni Event: Kings County Distillery Tour with Co-Founder Colin Spoelman ’01

With The Yale Club

Join Colin Spoelman ’01, co-owner and co-founder of Kings County Distillery—New York City’s Oldest Whiskey Distillery—on a tour and tasting of the Navy Yard facility, which will cover the history, science, and art of distillation. The tour will cover the forgotten story of New York City’s Irish Whiskey Wars of the late 1860s through to today’s resurgence of craft distilling and maker culture in Brooklyn. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample five of Kings County’s whiskeys in a tasting flight at the end of the tour, followed by a cocktail in the castle-like Gatehouse, the new tasting room built inside the historic entrance to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Kings County is one of the premier craft distilleries in the country, and this tour offers an opinionated look inside the world of whiskey with the founder and head distiller.

$30 per person, inclusive of tax. Registration is required by Tuesday, October 3rd. All sales are final.
