Massage: $100 per hour The Cornell Club's Health & Fitness Center is pleased to announce we now offer traditional and classical acupuncture by a New York State licensed medical practitioner as an additional service to our Members. Acupuncture is based on the manipulation of the free flow of qi (energy flow) through specific channels and can be used to treat any and all types of chronic and acute pain and discomfort regardless of origin. Acupuncture is also a highly effective means of relieving stress and tension, and promoting a general sense of well being. There is little to no discomfort involved in treatment, and reactions to treatment vary from patient to patient—and even from treatment to treatment—with the most common subjective sensation reported being a pleasant sense of enhanced relaxation (many patients actually fall asleep!). Initial treatment time typically takes 90 minutes, including an evaluation. Regular sessions take approximately one hour depending on the specific treatment. All treatments and information gathered are subject to New York State medical privacy laws. Stop by or contact Norman Bey, Director of the Fitness Center, at 212.692.1360.
